Kouri is one of the pre-eminent authors in Yami-dom. I seriously doubt that there's anyone even remotely associated with Yami no Matsuei fandom who hasn't heard of her fics, particularly her impressive epic trilogy, Live Through. Her Hisoka is smart and snappy, unafraid to risk anything in pursuit of what he wants and I find it admirable. I must admit that her stories were the first I stumbled across and they positively spoiled me. All this and she's prolific, too.
